by Suzanne Edminster at Saltworkstudio. In Abstract Painting.

Dante canto number 17. This is the little mess I have on my camper table. I realize that I’m missing a lot of important supplies that I love, but that shouldn’t stop me—- I can still read more cantos and plan the next notebook spreads. The monster Geryon has a smiling face. He is fraud; he will take you in and then sting you with his poisonous stinger. He is descending and slow, wide circles into the darker parts of hell, the eighth Circle. #Saltworkstudio #dantesketchbook #dantealighieri #inferno #dantesinferno #sketchbookartist #illustratedjournal
Back to the Dante sketchbook, with some other Ancestors for inspiration. Utah petroglyphs from our trip last year. #Saltworkstudio #petroglyphs #dante #aats2021 #sofasantarosa

It’s great to be able to hang out with some friends inside again at Café Frida Gallery! Our part of California just re-opened to 25% indoor dining. This café is right around the corner from my studio. Painting by Mario Uribe! . #saltworkstudio #cafefrida #cafefridagallery #artcafe #artcafè #mariouribe #fridakahloart
Detail from ink, oil , graphite, paint on wood. Hand carved stamps make under texture. Animal traces and marks. Panel feels good to work on. #saltworkstudio #primitivedecor #caveart #contemporarypainting
From my cold wax and oil paintbook, a spiral notebook I do painting in. l love putting oil paintings inside a book; it feels transgressive. #aats2021 #Artatthesource #saltworkstudio #oilandcoldwax #oilandcoldwaxpainting #abstractexpressionism
